Disaster Preparedness

The Florida SART (State Agricultural Response Team) annual multi-agency deployment exercise will take place on the weekend of February 18, 2017, at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds.
The exercise will include humans, dogs, and horses, as well as the participation of the local HAZMAT team, local Emergency Operations Center, and local busing system.
You are invited to take part.  You may sign up for the whole weekend, or for Sunday only, the actual day of the exercise.
There is a Saturday check in briefing & training at 3 p.m. for those participating in the Sunday exercise.
It is most important to have participants on Sunday, so members are encouraged to take part.

FVMA members belonging to the Florida Vet Corps who would like to participate with the Vet Corps, or are local veterinarians and would like to participate as ‘victims’ should contact John Haven at havenj@ufl.edu, 352-258-6692.  Mr. Haven will brief participants in detail to prepare them for the exercise.
